Antony is 29 years old (born on 19/12/1989) and took part of his first triathlon at 9 years old. After a few thousands training hours and competitions, he races as a professional triathlete since 2012. In 2017, he became the first and only french athlete to realize a sub8h on Ironman distance. Today, he is the 10th best performer of all times on this “iron” distance in 7h49m19s.
His well balanced profile between his swimming, cycling and running qualities allows him to perform in various events., particularly at those without drafting on the bike. Since 2018, he’s working closely with his new coach Frank Jakobsen.
His favorites distances are the Half Ironman Distance (1.9km swim, 90km bike and 21.1km run) and the Ironman Distance (3.8km swim, 180km bike and 42.2km run).
After various selections at the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in 2015, 2016 & 2017, his 2018 goal was to qualify for the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii. He succeeded and now wants to perform there. Thanks to a linear progression since his first steps in triathlon he became one of the best long distance triathletes in the world.
Antony is a young athlete who dreams big and he is giving himself the adequate tools to succeed. He got his PhD in Biomechanics in June 2016 for his work about human movement and motor control, with a specialization in cycling analysis. Since that, he became a full-time professional triathlete.
